Filing a request from a fellow, got this somewhere on the net. Since I don't have the artwork it is not a TQMP upload. In 2007 Verve reissued a number of their classic AT NEWPORT albums with crisply remastered sound to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the famous 1957 Newport Jazz Festival (made famous, in large part, because Verve's Norman Granz recorded most of the artists at the fest and released their sets on his label, making the live jazz album an industry staple). One such reissue is the Oscar Peterson Trio's set, which features a number of standards (including 'Willow Weep for Me' and 'Autumn in New York') alongside originals. The iconic pianist is flanked by musicians of equal stature: drummer Jo Jones, saxophonist Sonny Stitt, and trumpeter Roy Eldridge. The set, a glowing dose of vintage post bop, sounds as good today as on its release, if not better. Related Torrents torrent namesizeseedleech.

Since several of the songs are the type that in the mid-’60s would get requested (such as “People,” “The Girl from Ipanema,” and “The Days of Wine and Roses”), the program would not seem to have much potential, but Peterson mostly uplifts the material (although not much could be done with “People”) and adds a few songs (such as his own “Goodbye, J.D.” and John Lewis’ “D & E”). Overall, this is a reasonably enjoyable Oscar Peterson session, featuring bassist Ray Brown and drummer Ed Thigpen.Tracklist:01 – Quiet Nights Of Quiet Stars (Corcovado)02 – Days Of Wine And Roses03 – My One And Only Love04 – People05 – Have You Met Miss Jones?06 – You Look Good To Me07 – The Girl From Ipanema (Garota De Ipanema)08 – D & E09 – Time And Again10 – Goodbye J.D.Musicians:Oscar Peterson – pianoRay Brown – double bassEd Thigpen – drumsDownload.
